May Sketches in Thyme

Hey everyone!  I have my May layout for the Sketches in Thyme design team.  I loved this sketch layout by Bev Code.  That sunburst was calling my name to do some hand-stitching on this layout.  I wanted to do a layout about how my 3 year old, Layla, loves airplanes.  It's fitting since my husband is a pilot!  Not only did I stitch the sunburst, I also used up some random airplane stickers from my stash.  I love how it turned out!  Please watch the video to see my process and be sure to check out the blog to see how others on the design team interpreted the sketch.  They are all so great!

Sketches in Thyme DT - April

Hello everyone!  I am here with my first layout using the Sketches in Thyme sketch for the first week of April.  How great is that sketch?  I was really inspired by the butterflies.  I had these amazing pictures I took of Caylan at the Butterfly Exhibit at the San Antonio Zoo last year.  I couldn't resist using these pictures for the sketch.  Click on the video to watch how I made the layout!

Sketches in Thyme Design Team!

Hi Friends!

I'm so excited to be able to announce today that I have been invited to be on the Sketches in Thyme Design Team!  I love this challenge blog and I'm so excited to work with them.  I love working with sketches and do so quite often, especially if I need a swift kick in the pants creatively.  The sketches that they provide are creative and will push me to use my supplies!  There will now be FOUR sketches to work with each month!  I am on Team 1 and my layouts will be posted during the first week of each month.

And YOU can play along as well!  There will be prizes for each sketch, so be sure to play along to be eligible for a prize!  Simply create your own page based on a sketch, be sure to officially follow the blog, and submit your layout on the blog.  There will be a winner for each sketch and the prizes are great!  I hope you'll come join me and create some beautiful pages using these awesome sketches!!!
